Keep Your Fridge Organized for the freshest produce!

Most fruits and veggies produce Ethylene gas as they ripen. This is harmless to us but not to our leafy vegetables that are very sensitive to ethylene gas. Storing apples in the same bin as lettuce will cause the lettuce to decay faster escalating your monthly grocery bill. Be smart and separate the heavy ethylene producers form the sensitive fruits and veggies. Thank you, Adi Mor

Producers
Apples, apricots, avocados, ripening bananas, blueberries, cantaloupe, citrus fruit (not grapefruit), cranberries, figs, guavas, grapes, green onions, honeydew, ripe kiwi fruit, mangoes, melons, mushrooms, nectarines, okra, papayas, passion fruit, peaches, pears, peppers, persimmons, pineapple, plantains, plums, prunes, quinces, tomatoes and watermelon.

Sensitive:

Asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, chard, cucumbers, cut flowers, eggplant, endive, escarole, florist greens, green beans, kale, kiwi fruit, leafy greens, lettuce, parsley, peas, peppers, potatoes, potted plants, romaine lettuce spinach, squash, sweet potatoes, watercress and yams.

New Years Resolution- To eat Healthy!!!

One of the easiest ways to eat healthy is to start with the right
varieties of fruits and vegetables. Your goal should be about the
equivalent of 4 or more cups of fruits and vegetables per day.
Start with dark leafy greens or anything rich in the colors yellow,
orange or red. Tomatoes are a good example. At Garden Fresh Market
we specialize in the freshest fruits and vegetables and we have the
best variety available for you to find just what you need to eat
healthy. Here’s to your Good Health! Adi Mor

What's Up with the Lettuce??

Here at Garden Fresh Market we go one-step further than providing you with excellent produce at a great value, we also inform our customers of current market trends. At this time, the California growing season for lettuce is ending and we had expected to receive crops from Arizona; however, due to cold weather in AZ this crop is not ready in time. The Current “transition” period has lead to extremely high lettuce prices and a shortage of bag salads. This shortage should be ending in two weeks. Consider using Artisan Lettuces, Spring Mix, and Spinach, which you can find at value prices, here at Garden Fresh Market.

We really appreciate your business! Adi Mor

Garden Fresh Market will Partner with The Salvation Army to Participate in The Angel Tree Program

At GFM we pride ourselves in being a grocery store for our community. We feel that it is so important to get involved with our community and participate in programs such as The Angle Tree Program from The Salvation Army.

Each store will be participating in this great program- and here's how it works:

Each store has a Christmas tree adorned with Paper ornaments. Each ornament is printed with the name, age, clothing size, shoe size, gift request and a code number. GFM customers are then able to "adopt" their angel, which essentially means that you will be helping this "angel" have a better holiday.

After adopting your angel and purchasing a gift for them, you can bring it back to GFM and we will drop their present off at the Salvation Army.

Help Garden Fresh make a difference. Help a child in the community, and make their holidays unforgettable. For more information please contact any of the stores, and ask to speak with the manager.
